Dark Kingdoms Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Dark Kingdoms

Rating: 5.0

This cannot be a time of promiscuity,
of lax thoughts and careless steps,
haunted emotions leading to regrets.

If one is to survive the ruthlessness
of those void of meaningful conscience,
it's going to require diligent meditation
into every aspect of personal existence.

Sunrise will find me at prayer
with tears in my eyes;
at sunset, I'll be burning incense
for the wisdom of the dead.

I've got dark kingdoms to conquer,
my own frailty to banish!
I've never been more dedicated or prepared
to face the insurmountable challenges
from abroad or from within!
