Dark Intentions Poem by Samuel Weesner

Dark Intentions

Rating: 5.0

As the blackened sky spreads wider,
The cold dew thickens.
As the day turns milder,
Its when your mind sickens.

The anger grows stronger,
The demon goes deeper.
Just a little bit longer,
He will be your mind keeper.

He will devour your morals,
Make u feel weak.
If you like abnormal,
your in for a treat.

He's in full control,
You let go of your fate.
You acted to slow,
It's already to late.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A daughter living in an abuse house with her father.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Chinedu Dike 24 June 2016

An insightful depiction of deplorable condition of a daughter created by an abusive father, well articulated and nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. To be a father is easy, but to be a dad isn't an easy task. Being a dad means instilling confident, showing much love, and creating conducive atmosphere that is very favourable for the well-being of a child. Lovely poem well brought forth in good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Samuel.
