Dark Flame Poem by Suzana Mustra

Dark Flame

Rating: 5.0

I'm not afraid of flames
cause your body is like an everlasting fire.
What scares me is that one day
Your eyes can become like ice.
Our love can be lost forever
and slide in absolute cold emptiness
in our fears and our loneliness.
I'm not afraid of darkness
cause you are everlasting light of my soul.
I'm not scared of storm fall
cause your arms will keep me warm and safe.
Take my hand and follow me through the night
we will get to the end of sorrows.
if you hold on me tight
they should think we are insane
but they have already lost their brain
make them feel the love
that hides underneath the pain

I've never been a big fan of romance poetry, mostly because a good number of them are just so wishy-washy. Your poem however, does not meet that description at all. You've embodied romance and trust without coming off as love drunk. A great poem. Welcome to PH by the way
