Dark Butterfly Poem by Saroj Padhi

Dark Butterfly

Rating: 5.0

The wind knows how much elusively
you flitted away like a dark butterfly
under the cover of night from bush
into a neon-light- lit skyscraper high,

when boughs of tall trees were seen
catching at beams from pale Moon,
I sat negotiating with stars for hours
for more glow to enjoy love's boon;

your wings moist with unseen monsoon
desires, sought help of zephyr to fly
as I was busy putting my heart on page
thinking of beautiful moments of joy;

all night dark clouds flicked the Moon
to the rising beats of my heart's swoon.
