Dare To Look Poem by Riya Gangwar

Dare To Look

Sometimes you don’t want to look over your shoulder
because you don’t want to remember where you’ve been
When you try to look forward, you seem to be going nowhere
Seem stuck on the same spot, circumstances all around
So lonesome, no one to turn to for counsel, barged by all
When you are almost giving up, hope nearly lose hope
You brace up and take a quick peep, a quick scary peep
Over your shoulder doesn’t look so bad, it’s not all ugly
You see great dreams you have left behind unattended to
Discover all hope’s not lost and see the only way forward
You realize that our lives can change by a mere glimpse
You look forward again, you seem to be strong enough
Then you believe we can change with every breath we take
*****“The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority.”
