Dankesworte

Viel Regen, Sonne
und Wärme
bescheren den Bauern
Früchte und Kerne

Kartoffeln, Mais
und Getreide
füllen die Speicher
gewachsen neben der Weide

Auch Kürbis, Apfel
und Zwiebel
bereichern den Gabentisch
wie in der Bibel

Gewachsen in
fruchtbarer Krume
sind sie unsere Verse
gereift zum heiligen Ruhme

Worte gebunden
wie Ähren
um die Gunst
des Himmels zu mehren

The Apple on the Tree—
Provided it do hopeless—hang—
That—"Heaven" is—to Me!
