Danger's Boss Poem by Mike Ekunno

Danger's Boss

Lord!
What terrors You thrust me through
The treacherous terrains
Craggy heights
Dark, furious waters
Earth shifty like quicksand
And all the elements in agitation

But how You strengthen me
Through it all
With peace I know not whence
And tranquility
Like a cuddled babe
Safe in the knowledge
That danger answers to his Father
Who makes the cloud a garment
And thick darkness, a swaddling band
Sends thunder and lightening
For guard of honour
But Lord,
What terrors You thrust me through!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I never knew the horrors I once passed through in a dream (don't say nightmare) could be associated with real life until I watched footage of the Tsunami in which I clearly identified what I had earlier been through and the clear Hand of The Almighty.
