Dance Awhile And Sing A Song Poem by Dr John Celes

Dance Awhile And Sing A Song

When romping music is played on,
Who can resist its magic spell?
By accident, when beer has gone
Into a dog, it can sure, ‘yell! ’

Forgetting dogged days, it will dance,
To tune of music and balance;
A smile replaces its bad grin,
While dancing lonely in the inn.

Dance awhile, forget your woes;
Sing a song in your own voice;
Life can bring few friends, more foes;
So find some time to rejoice.
