Dance Around Heaven Poem by Lissa White

Dance Around Heaven

My heart feels numb
Frozen as cold as the snow covered ground
Feeling so lost and alone
In my agony I moan
Why did you have to go?
You left me too soon
As I stare at the moon
Wondering where you are
Are you watching me?
Are you finally free?
Of the pain that took over your body
And took away your youth
You no longer hurt
I can see you clearly
As you dance around in heaven
Twirling to the music
That plays softy in the clouds
And cushions your every step
As your age slips away from you
You are young healthy and free
It being me such peace
To think of you like this
With all those who has went before you
Reunited with your two boys
They brought you great joy
And my Coree
You are cradling so close
She can feel your heart beat
As she lays her cheek to your chest
Where she finds great peace and rest
I look forward to the day I can hold her too
I never felt my baby girl in my arms
Never captured by her many charms
Hold her close to you
Until I can join you
When my life is through
And it is time for me
To be set free
Free from this earth
I can picture myself saying
'Can I have this dance? '
As I reach out for Coree’s hand
As we dance around heaven.

This is written for my mother who died January 9,2005......RIP Momma
