Daddy Why Poem by Rebecca Adams

Daddy Why

Rating: 4.0

Why Did you go,
Oh daddy why,
You left me here,
With no reason why,
you are the one I needed most,
but when you said hello,
I heard goodbye.

Daddy why,
do you say words of nothing,
Or words of pain,
why don't you see,
I need you now,
I need a father,
so why'd you leave.

Daddy please don't say goodbye,
Daddy why can't I be by your side.

You left us for another,
a family that was not ours,
one child that screamed for you,
another who wanted you gone,
a mother, oh mine, who said goodbye.

pherhaps i, the youngest,
is the only one who waned you,
but sadly i was not enough,
to keep you here with me.

so my silent tears,
beg you to come home,
while my fake smile,
says, i wish you happiness.
