Daddy's Little Girl Poem by zonda davis

Daddy's Little Girl

For you have gone and left me sad
I never got a chance to know you dad
for I was one, and just your little girl
I was your precious thing, in the whole wide world
everyone told me how happy you was
to cuddle and hold me just because
you felt as if I was God's gift from heaven
Oh daddy I love you and that is forever
one day soon we will meet again
and I will feel your touch like you did back then
so spread your wings and watch over me
and your grandsons Jakel and Jamchri
for we must go on and bare the memories and pain
stop pointing and accusing no one's to blame
you died for your country, what a sad way to go
I don’t question your belief cause one day I will know
you were a Soldier a Fighter a hard working Man
you are #1 cause you are my dad
no man can ever have me for diamonds or pearls
cause I will always be yours “Daddy’s Little Girl'
