Daddy up there beyond the clouds, can you hear me
do you sense my inner turmoil, the sense of loss that will not flee
Daddy I'm afraid cause I dont know what to do
why couldent I just go with you
Daddy can you see me I'm down here crying
slowly ever so slowly on the inside I'm dieing
Hear me daddy pleaze make the pain go away
dear daddy I beg of you hear me and obey

I'm sorry that I couldent forgive you in life
the pain I caused you and the undo strife
Daddy up there beyond the sky I wonder if you're okay
I wonder if you're scared or alone without a say
I wonder if you are happy now that there's no more pain to endure
I often wonder if death was your cure
were you tired of fighting and just couldent go on
was the life you led unbearable the nights of dread to long

I sometimes remember the many miles you traveled to come see us
how you left really early in the morning to catch the bus
It wasnt often that I saw you in those days, even less when you became sick
were you ready to die I wonder because you left so quick
sometimes I can still find laughter beyond the tears
even at my worst theres still those memories we shared through the years
Its amazing really that I can still laugh even after the rain
I can still smile and have fun when my heart is filled with so much pain

Daddy up there where the angles reside
do you find it difficult to find someone to confide
cause down her on this earth no one seems to care
and sometimes I just feel like ending it all I swear
After so many months gone by its still hard to believe
but you're gone in death, this concept I still cant concieve
you were not suppose to go like this without no good-byes
instead you slipped away on a restless sigh

Im not doing so good daddy, as you can see
I cant believe I let you die without telling you that I loved you and I am so very very sorry
I must learn though daddy to forgive myself before this eats away at me
I just wonder Daddy 'can you hear me'
