Daddy Poem by Jay AndersonTaylor

Daddy

To be given the honor of being called Daddy by a child

is an honor sometimes not planned by you. 'Daddy...'

It's a word of honor and a term of endearment that can carry

much responsibility.” Daddy...' This is not a title to be

taken lightly or tread upon by someone of poor moral

standards. 'Daddy...” This is a duty as a man... I shall

provide you with the tools to be the best you can be.

I will guide you with common sense and give you a clear path

to follow. I may sometimes not have all the

answer to everything you ask of me, but I do know

right from wrong... most of the time? As

I walk with you on the path that my Father

once took me down. I will only divert you slightly off its path...

Not because I hated my father, but only because I want

you to be a better person than me or him. I not only

made a child when I made you... But I took on a

title, “I’m Daddy...' and will always be... Daddy what

an honor to be Daddy for me!
