Dad Planted A Ranunculus Poem by Sameer Ahmed

Dad Planted A Ranunculus

Rating: 5.0

Planted weeks ago
At the onset of spring
The seasonal sapling
Ranunculus
Blossomed a new minimo
That greeted the fragrant wind
Whispered in a flow
Usually red, pink, aquatic,
Orange and yellow
But it was white
Like corrugated ball of snow
And surprisingly changed
It's hue to mauve or so
As it grew slow and slow
With this unique
Feature and beauty
It gave a warm glow
The friendly breeze,
Birds, butterflies, bees
Dad and co
Together they looked
Enchanting and sociable
And praised it's
Colorful transformation
And amused the viewers
By putting up a good show.
