May 28th out came the two,
Zari, Mom, Pilipili, son,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Another growth milestone was done,
Letting the young lion cub know
What it was like to be looked at
By the public - star of the show,
Now in the outside habitat.
And Mom, knowing the public be
Harmless and full of 'oohs' and 'aahs, '
Led her son close for folks to see,
And stopping, putting paws on pause.
The time and place destiny roars
'Pilipili, this world is yours.'
