Cry Me A World Poem by Annette Aitken

Cry Me A World

Rating: 5.0

Cry Me A World

Cry me a world were all war is done
where peace has returned and life has begun.

Cry me a world where terror has to cease
and innocent people don't fall at their feet.

Cry me a world where murders will stop
life's lived to the full and not snubbed out.

Cry me a world were no sleepless nights exist
wake up refreshed start the day with a kiss.

Cry me a world where love conquers all
when true words are spoken by one by all.

Just cry me a world that we can be proud of.

Really wonderful poem, your best work yet. If only we could get your sentiments realized in our troubled and unequal world.

Yes, it has the feel of a song for the Peace movement. You are coming on by leaps and bounds, Annette. A voice worth listening to.

Charming and full of love. I think it would be a great song a la John Lennon's Imagine. Well done.

Love the sentiment and the obvious tenderness. Well done, I will be checking back for more of your poetry.
