Crutches Poem by Julie Rogers

Crutches

We had something before,
that we will never have again.
Even though you broke me down,
My crutches are my friends.
They've got my back, no matter what,
Even when I try to hide.
The turns are hard for them to cut,
but they hang on for the ride.

Now late at night, before I sleep,
I pray for someone new.
Someone to love me for who I am.
Someone unlike you...

From now on I'm no longer searching..
I'll forever stay patiently waiting.
Untill God matches my puzzle peice
with that someone just for me.
