Cruel World Poem by Laura Hollan

The world is cruel out there
I know what they are going to do
Hurt the innocent
Or mock the dead

Not a smile in sight
The only thing i see is someone stabbed with a knife
Or a bullet between the eyes
And people say it's gonna be all right?

A baby is dumped into a trash can
And that poor baby cannot understand
Why it's mother hates it so
But then it will never know

This life is worse than torment
Death is the only way out
To come to an end
With nothing to worry about
