Crash Landing Poem by maleka thompson

Crash Landing

i'm a comet floating in your solar system
been crashed on other planets
but blew out from the marks i made
and holes i dug
but it's your planet i thrive for
and i promise when i land i wont scar you
or make holes
for your soil i seek
i would land safely softly
nothing will make me leave
no volcano's eruptions cant melt me
no rain can soak me
no wind can push me
i will stay there until i crumble to minerals in the wind
then we will start over again
