Some summer memories
Are forever covered with warm gold,
Illuminated from within
With an intense light that cannot be held.

Their joy constantly unfurls
Despite the season's passing
And remembrances of them
Linger a lifetime.

As leaves yellow with the arrival of Autumn
We sometimes recall that special season
Which fades gracefully
In unending golden hues
And we smile
And long for its return.
Though we know they cannot remain
They're never lost,
For special memories reside eternally
In your mind’s holy place
Covered with warm gold.
