Cover Me Up Poem by Sourly Demented

Cover Me Up

The redness of the lips
the softness of one kiss
The blindness of the touch
and yet your gone
Thirsting for your gentle words
Returning with nothing more but lust

My memories are not gone
I'm still waiting for your cries
But do you know?
The coldest of sorrows
you cant feel

Cover me up
With the embrace you once gave me
The one that sent me chills
Through my broken heart
Through the memory you left behind

But you're not here
Thats the terrible fact
Is it just the love we once felt?

The softness of your whispers
The brightness of your eyes
The warmth of your skin
I'm still here
Come back and cover me up
Before I say goodbye
