Corruption Poem by Mark R Slaughter

Corruption

She stood before me –
Blackness in the mind,
And whim, and soul.

Disconcerting lay the beauty
In her breast,
Partnered with grotesque and
Furtive meaning in her stare;

And in the cool of subtle light,
A hideous glamour in her slight
And satin countenance;
So was I in love or fear?

Did I really want to grip her arm
(Snaking in a coat of creamy skin) ? –
Spear a lustful tongue between her raging lips?

I felt the underpinning pout of sensuality.

Why the hesitation? –
Why to stop and ponder, stall?
Was it thought of ruin or self-destruction?
How my shaking body said it all!
