Continuing The In Between Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Continuing The In Between

Rating: 5.0

The essence of time floats by
Sometimes shallow, then high
Out of, into, through and past
Constantly flowing; slow then fast

Gathering days, through all seasons
Giving substance to life and reason
Birthing, growing and transforming
Following, learning, and maturing

Looking forward to—anticipating…
Anticipating—eager to be participating
Participating while being swept away
Can you stop briefly and preserve the day?

You can capture and hold time in your hand
You can pass on your experiences and expand
Give the spirit that you have in your heart
To the present and future before you depart

Putting your thoughts on paper in succession
Conveying your impressions in progression
Long after you have ceased to give an appearance
A voice will continue to flow with perseverance
