Consolation Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Consolation

There are times when you feel hurt
Tears dry and you feel like a bleeding hart
No not that you have been rejected in love
And you seek shelter in a pub
To show off your dancing skill
And the time you like to kill
You may be hunted elsewhere
You may call it unfair
But this is reality
Where you are in a village or a city
The world is full of a stiff competition
Where every one is keen to grab the opportunities by hook or crook
Which you don't learn from any book
You apply your brain or else plunge in frustration

But there is another way
I to myself say
Dear stay afar from the world of materialistic gains
Coz you may land into the world of pains
Which is followed by pleasure
Which you cannot measure
So do dispense attachment and embrace detachment
To seek solace
And feel the divine grace.
