Is it wrong to wish for people?
Is it wrong to wish for hope?
Is it wrong to need
A friend for life,
Rather than a hopeless dope?

Is is strange to want a close pal?
Is it strange to feel it so strong?
Is it strange to not want
To be left out,
Not feeling out-of-place or wrong?

Is is crazy to feel excluded,
Even when surrounded by mates?
Is it crazy to feel half wanted
But still,
Like the unpopular dessert on their plates?
