Silence is not useful—in relationship, friendships.
Sarah knows this, and yet, yet again this morning has
lapsed into silence, deciding silence to be the best
course, at least for the moment. Mayhaps she is right—
speaking may have led only to argument and recriminations.
Women's sense of the moment betters men's for the most
part, yet there are moments when a man has the better
grasp of, "the better hand" as it were in a situation; well,
in almost all cases it's case by case—which of the two is
the better listener, the faster reasoner, the devil, of course,
being in the details—life itself being a complicated affair.
