'There's been a hoot owl howlin' outside
my window now for six nights in a row;
she's comin' for me I know,
and on Wildfire we're both gonna go …'
—Michael Martin Murphey, 'Wildfire', You Tube Music Video

When the end comes, I hope it comes with
my authority alone, with no one else to decide matters,
that I will be the one and only, the final arbiter on all matters concerning me, my destiny—this is my final hope and prayer.
