Con Tentacles

'Unless you cons come across,
we'll call your gold-look-alike alloy 'falsor',
from Latin for gold and to deceive, '
ultimatumed the Institute for Verbifabrication.

'You cons talk tough, '
sneered cons;
then pitched in for 'similor'
for the name for the stuff.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After hearing another example of conning going on,
'why shouldn't the Institute get on the bandwagon? '
I thought, after serendipitously coming upon 'similor'
in my favorite book, Chambers Dictionary.
