Compromise Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Compromise

Sometimes I have to make amends
And bow just like a bamboo bends,
To see the other fellow's view
Replace some thoughts that are not true.

Sometimes to change needs pliancy,
A willful choice at harmony,
To bend as far as one can take
But in that bending, to not break.

Relationships sometimes are torn
By wills so firm and so stubborn,
But in this life, we realize
There's such a thing as compromise.
