Compassion Poem by Brian Rihlmann

Compassion

A hug, or a slap in the face.
Money for a bottle,
or a meal instead.
A kind or harsh word.
Caging, or setting free.

Me, locked in my room,
sparing the world
my Hyde side,
a poison tongue,
implacable rage.

You, eating a bullet
before carrying out
your plan....

instead of after.

Me, locked in my room, sparing the world my Hyde side, .... //..... Sublimity of a human heart nicely expressed in the poem. Thank you, Brian.
