Come To Me My Love Poem by David Harris

Come To Me My Love

Within the dusk
as night descends across a field
I hear a voice cry out from the gloom.
OH, come to me my love.

I carry on down the path
where millions have trod before
and into the gloom of the night time shadows falling.
I hear again the voice.
Oh, please hear, my pleads.
Do come me my love.

I looked across the field
and shadows under the moonlight
seem to dance to each other
until they met in a sweet embrace.
They then dance in the moonlight shadows
until they were gone from view.

Soon the night was filled laughter
and the night songs of evening birds.
The lovers had found each other
and danced through to dawn.
