Come Home Poem by Michael Hylton

Come Home

Girl it's been a long time since the last time I saw you

So now my body, my mind and my hearts pines for you

I can no longer play games and pretend to ignore you

Because the truth of the matter is I truly adore you

Girl I realize sometimes, that I don't treat you right

And I know I say things I don't mean when we fight

I know I said I don't want you but I need you tonight

So Just give me a chance to put everything right

A chance to just hold you and tell you I miss you

A chance to caress, touch you and kiss you

But it's not only that girl believe me you're criss* too

And I guess that's the reason I just can't resist you

Yes I know that it's hard girl to deal with emotions

And if love was a wave we'll be sailing on oceans

But this life is a test, there are no magic potions

So I can only confess to you my feelings and notions

Girl you are the one that I truly want to be with

In body and soul you're the one I agree with

Go hand in hand and walk down by the sea with

Plant my seed in your sand and grow a family tree with

See I don't just love you believe me I need you

And when I look in your eyes to your soul I can read you

Don't listen to people who say I deceived you

I will give you your rights I will love you and lead you

If this is hard for you, then it's hard for me too

Many thing have occurs that I wouldn't perceive too

As I'm way out on the limb of a branch of a tree too

Like body and soul if you grieve then I grieve too

So now that you've left me my worlds not the same

And I know that there's no one but me I can blame

They say that even the players get played in the game

So I have to, live with the shame and deal with the pain

But as I sit here waiting in my room all alone

With my head in my palms and my mind in a zone

I seem to only come around to the sound of the phone

Because I just want you back so please baby come home
