Come Down Moon Poem by Neela Nath Das

Come Down Moon

Rating: 4.2

Down come moon,
in this island,
where the ceaseless
darkness plays
with night
alone.
I ain't drunk,
believe me,
but have a wish
to drink your light.
Come, come and
lit me with
your dewy drops
of ray.
The condensed night,
doesn't talk to me.
The song of the sea,
is dull with same
lyric.
Who says you have
the spots as you are
blemished?
Your silver light
paints the world
with strokes of
its melted hue.
Come, moon, come
down, down,
in this island
to soak me
with your dew!
