Come Dance Poem by Irene C S ClarkHogg

Come Dance

Rating: 5.0

Come, Dance.

Come, dance with me beneath the moon,
Who treads the night in silver shoon,
Spreads light on those who celebrate
The sealing of harsh Winter’s fate,
For Spring will be the mistress soon.

Come, dance as we have danced before
You and I, ten thousand years and more.
In honour of our mother, Earth,
Who brings forth life, who gave us birth,
Then gave to man one rule, one law.

Love, just one word, one rule, one law.
For if you love there’s no need for more.

Superb in poetry and wisdom. The last couplet musically sums up the consumate widom of the world. Each word seems to be dancing with the soul. CP
