Colors Of Him Poem by Airda Jones

Colors Of Him

You can own whatever you walk on
I give it freely to you
I'm yours to claim
Because you own my life
Know my spirit, call my name

I used to think that
You were just like the other people
But the difference was you
The way you look, how you think
It changed what I knew

Have you ever heard
The things I am saying to you
Or asked me why I used to be so dim
Can you hear the song
That you've brought to me as it answers
Because the colors of him
I'm wrapped in the colors of him

Come run with me
To the hidden paths no one else knows
And taste the sweetness of first
Come roll in riches we'll discover
Beyond all worth

We have no need for the others
As you've become my everlasting friend
Do you feel the connection
That we have circled ourselves into
With no clear end

Have you ever heard
The things I am saying to you
Or asked me why I used to be so dim
Can you hear the song
That you've brought to me as it answers
Because the colors of him
I'm wrapped in the colors of him

I will never have my fill
I've never been this sure until
I had been painted
With the colors of him
Colors of him.
