Coco Pop Nutritionist Part 1 Poem by Paula Glynn

Coco Pop Nutritionist Part 1

I eat bread and drink red wine,
Beef is my favourite meat,
And I like it lean,
For I am a coco pop nutritionist,
I read the dates of labels,
And the nutrition value,
Of a box of cereal.

I eat the odd piece of fruit,
But I love my sausages and mash more,
All my food I have eaten before,
I do not have the funds,
To go to a fancy restaurant.

I do not have the money,
To eat lobster, I am broke,
Like every other person on this planet,
With all the problems,
Of this working economy.

But I still work to put food on the table,
I just hope the beef I am eating,
Is 100% beef, and not some added extra ingredient,
For I like to know what is going into my stomach.

I eat sweetened cereal for breakfast,
I eat a ham & cheese sandwich for lunch,
With my cup of tea and an apple,
I have steak and chips for dinner:
I do love chips.

I also love McDonalds on occasion,
I know it contains a lot of calories,
But cheeseburgers are perfection,
And I love a vanilla milkshake,
For I go to McDonalds often.

Considering I am a coco pop nutritionist,
For all my knowledge about food,
Comes from the side of a packet of cereal,
And when I get my jacket in the morning,
I know my body will have energy and health,
For I am person of considerable wealth.
