Clouds

When I was a child,
I asked my mother.
'When the weather is mild
Why are there clouds? '

Mother laughed and said,
'Clouds are everywhere, child.
When the sky turns red,
Or when you go to bed,
Clouds can come to you.'

When I was a child,
I stared at you, clouds.
The question is,
Did you stare at me?
