Climate Change Poem by Richard St. Clair

Climate Change

Rating: 5.0

Our world is sick unto itself by waste
polluting all our fair environment
and leaving us in awful discontent:
to heal our planet all must work posthaste.
Denial, greed and folly are to blame
for injury to our lovely cherished world
when caution to the hardy winds are hurled
ignoring every warning sign that came.
Fools say prayer will in the end repair
and save this orb from hellish devastation,
petitioning the daemon of creation
to mollify the water, land and air.
Will history survive to bear true witness
to Earth's harmers, reckless dolts and witless?
