Claudy Poem by udoh etido

Claudy

Flowers are dark;
the pool sees my past;
A woman of shame;
my lover left me this fate.

Moon pierce my thoughts;
the ship, all aboard;
Toads of innocence;
skates on the pool's presence.

Tears rolling down;
like pebbles from the sky;
What trouble? ;
my lover leaves me.

A far journey;
forever put me in misery;
The firmaments watch;
my lover has left for sodom.

Come back to me;
the pool help me plead;
Moonlights see my face;
on the pool's teary fate.

Flowers all around;
made happy by the pool's compound;
A dark net;
taken by the night's fiery cloak.

My lover has gone forever;
i become a woman with no prayer;
Far from me;
my tear smells of me.

I hope he comes;
i hope he is on course;
My life is incomplete;
flowers break my truce.

A torn garment;
the Divine smells it;
My lover has left me this fate;
my lover has smeared my face.

I wish for your return;
i seek anew sword.

Please do not leave;
my heart still beats;
Please do not die;
my love will never smile.

I left in the night;
my woman in the dark;
Is she faithful? ;
is she graceful? .

I need to test her heart;
i need to be refined;
For love eludes;
my might is loose.

A cold morning;
my feet is warming;
Need to test her heart;
need to leave at first light.

Aboard the ship;
i have to pass the keep;
Bags of sorrow;
i hope she never fails to glow.

A strange thought;
i shall return;
Heaven tells me she is nice;
Heaven tells me her pride is right.

She sits by the pool;
hoping i be cool;
She sits by the pool;
oh! i have become a fool.

Her tears are golden;
showcases her heart's burden;
I will go to her;
but all will be in disguise.

I race for the pool;
to test her hood;
I race for the pool;
to know who plays the fool.

Why cry fair lady? ;
what seems to be your laden? ;
Why cry my lady? ;
who has bequeathed evil to you? .

I am a fair woman;
my love knows no rival;
I am of a noble heart;
my womanhood knows no pride.

There is but one in my heart;
there is but one afar;
I sit beside the pool all night;
hoping he will return to my arms;
I sit beside the pool all night;
tormented by air's fiery darts.

Stand my fair lady;
stand and be merry;
Your kindred will like me;
my knights will kneel before thee.

Follow me into the night;
wipe the tears from your eyes;
Leap with child;
build my castle high.

Forget your lover;
he is but mad;
Forget your lover;
he has no heart.

I am a fair lady;
i cherish your blessings;
I am a fair lady;
my womanhood is set loose.

But there lay a problem;
hearts are not made to solemn;
I will wait upon my lover;
He will race through the fire;
I will wait upon my lover;
even till the end of the tunnel.

Doth rivers glow? ;
Doth flowers blossom slow? ;
My lover is afar;
my heart shall remain glad.

Folly of men;
there sitteth my lover in shame;
What have i done to her? ;
she knoweth not i am in disguise.

The moonlight is glad;
my love at last;
Her tears pierce my soul;
why thought me so? .

Her faithfulness is revered;
she has passed my test;
Time for the clouds to clear;
there will be a honest cheer.

Stand up my woman;
let the pool hold you not to ransom;
Stand up my woman;
let our love blossom.

Jonny is near;
Jonny sees your tears;
I have erred;
you still remain dear.

Hold my hands tight;
let us drink to love tonight.

Hold me tight;
i am back to wipe tears from your eyes.

In midst of fear One can only but dare How stupid was he To such a risk heed If only love were to be wise She a long time would rise To the tone of another Dance to yonder But alas! She stayed And waited and Swayed Such a beauty of heart Hidden in a golden hurt I just wish my lover will her emulate Then my life shall forever envisage The golden crown of a queen ladybird Will she forever wear even on my bed Cudos to the mind, such a freaky game to play Hope you take no risk of such in broad day For nowadays, onward would they go And your bed forever empty shall go! ! !
