Clarence Clegg Poem by Charles M Moore

Clarence Clegg

Rating: 4.0

Clarence Clegg, you might have heard
Was causing fear and panic
Is he underneath the stairs
Or is he in the attic

Sometimes underneath the bed.
Hiding there to grab your leg
Creepy creaks within the room
To startle you in night times gloom

Bedtime hugs and bedtime kisses
Bedtime prayers and bedtime wishes
Clarence sneaks around the house
To catch the careless and to pounce

Children giggle at his name
Fearing he might visit them
But all be warned and all beware
Clarence Clegg might just be there.
