City Hearts Poem by Katheryn Foley

City Hearts

The heart wants what it wants,
The heart sees what it sees,
Our mind might not have,
The vocabulary to explain,
What to say.
But it would be the cruelest thing,
To turn your back on your own heart,
We must listen and try to understand,
And move in rhythm with the beats it plays.
