I was driving my city bus
In a blowing blizzard of snow.
Two old ladies and me - just us.
They said we passed their house, and so
I stopped the bus and let them out,
And was walking them cross the road.
A pickup came at us. No doubt,
Not seeing us as we 3 strode.
I pushed the two out of the way.
The pickup smashed me up a lot.
I'll survive, but a long bed stay.
After all that - guess what I got!

In the hospital when I woke -
A jaywalking ticket - no joke!
