Christmas Morning, In Church Poem by Dennis Ryan

Christmas Morning, In Church

Christmas morning, December 25,2022 at 11: 00 a.m.

Here I am in church, once again
Christmas morning, twenty-six years
later, listening to the liturgy, the young
priest far in front to the left of me,
and I am unchanged? I am not sure
as to why, but perhaps something
complementary is going on that
I don't yet understand. We will see.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Faith and hope come from within oneself. How all of this works is an emotional mystery.
