Christmas In Iraq Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Christmas In Iraq

Rating: 5.0

A gem of a poem written upon Christmas at war
it reminds me of the sudden truce on the front line,
in World War I between the Germans and Brits
'Silent Night' sung in German was better than fists,
that Christmas Eve in peace guns fell in silence
yet what of this year who gives peace a licence?
