Christchurch Poem by J.B. LeBuert

Christchurch

Rating: 5.0

The Christchurch Earthquake,
Made the whole country shake.
People were dyin',
People were cryin'.

When the dust cleared,
Nobody cheered.
Devastation abound,
Destruction all around.

Buildings torn down,
Many bodies to be found.
Women and children went screaming.
Everyone thought they were dreaming.

It'll take years to revive.
Let's pray for those who survive,
To find some peace,
And hope the aftershocks cease.
