Chocolate Poem by Yiling Ding

Chocolate

I crave the sweet melting sensation
of warm chocolate
The crispy cake exterior with its
subtle cocoa bitterness
that gently breaks away into
that moist and tender interior
I want to carefully lick the
liquid ambrosia that embraces
your deep brown body
and indulge my senses in your
overwhelmingly delicious scent

I want to be the first lips
to touch your creamy perfection
and the first tongue
to know your damned addictive flavor

Let me be the first and last
to eat that chocolate cake.
