Chilled Emotions Poem by Philip Janssens

Chilled Emotions

An icy cold resides my bones
Jack Frost reigns supreme
etches words of meekness on the
frozen window of my heart

when I'm alone
the memories unfold
the thought of you prevail
as if I've found you again

when at the time meant now
when our bodies merged
when wordless days were not the issue
the awareness dawns

that in these cold nights
only you can melt the ice
on the window of my heart
with clouds of warm breath
