Chill Metamorphosis Aired Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Chill Metamorphosis Aired

what wakes
in first snow
what sleeps
what change
is manifest

origin point
snow births
in cloud layers
in sky heights
moisture freezes

snow settling
over woodlands
over trees limbs
over branches
over twigs

brown bare
becomes white
frozen despair
harvest fields
forsaken

silent stealth
soft descent
slow sky fall
seconds flutter
snow minutes

swift
in minutes
slow in hours
swallow landscapes
entomb fields

winter comes
snow flake creeps
across harvest fields
abandoned yields
to winter's grips

birds
passage
migrate
silent
shadows

migration
flight
arcs
across
sky

silent
soft
slow
descends
snowflakes

birds
farmers
abandon
fields
sealed

silent
soft
slow
spectacle
snow

falling snow
set against
cloudy sky
woods brood
carpeted

mystical
shadows
creep
snow
flake

flutter
increases
to stay
pause
or fleet

flee
depart
contemplate
snowflake
virginity

cloudy
fancies
suddenly
shape
imply

an
inner
turmoil
even
as

troubled
heart
doth
make
white

a transgression
countenance
confession
anxious arises
primeval fears

will winter
this season
bite hard
starvation
ice ravage

this land
snow white
confessional
intent not
revealed

blue nature
oblique absorbs
latent enormity
ambient heavens
crystals sow

written
personified
freeze troubled
snowflake
sky reveals

chill grief
still air feels
ice troubled
sky burden
snow sheds

read
declaration
snow
declares
writ

in
the
air
slow
silent

syllables
recorded
focus
shift from
snow

to
transformation
metamorphosis
shock air is
experiencing

change
woods
stripped
bare
naked

bodies
exposed
await
crystal
white

gowns
to crown
afterglow
glory
spent

past
leaf
change
intoxicating
exciting

invigorating
peppered mind
in pastel hues
allure flirtatious
veiled advances

autumn fall
last silent fall
of spring folly
summer ripe
memories

leaves
echo
metaphorically
nature
God

recorded
in fall
of leaves
in empty
garden

fall
of snow
snow-flakes
leaves
man

humanity
spent falls
like snow-flakes
spent leaves
in glorious fall

wheat harvest
wheat and weeds
darnel wheat
growth twins
together grow

in this world
inseparable
until harvest
separations
weeds burned

immature wheat
must harvest grow
into ripe maturity
seasons must pass
leaves must fall

birds of passage
migration flight
seasonal shifts
bare woodlands
winter white

wood trees
inseparable
snow cloaked
at distances
harvest-fields

forsaken
during entirety
of winter quilt
covered snow
contemplative

brooding humanity
sap fallen cloudy fatalities
auspices winter prospects
as chill air sheds snow-flakes
first seeds of snow

brooding
autumn
humanity
sap fallen
cloudy

fatalities
auspices
winter prospects
chill air sheds
snow-flakes

first
flowers
seeds of snow
finger icicles
birth buds

seasonal humanity
sap fallen cloudy fancies
auspices augur omen prospects
as air sheds snow-flakes
soft seeds of snow

foretell
winter
enduring
secret
despair

written
long in
cloudy
bosom
hoarded

the air
whispers
snowflake words
frozen fingers
settles

autumn
overtaken
whispered
revealed
prophecy

to wood to field
winter hard comes
to harvest-fields forsaken
late plant spring crops
yield in bounty
