Children When Young Poem by Dr John Celes

Children When Young

The world of children seems so heavenly;
It does not matter whether girl or boy;
In all the things they do, they look so cute;
An air of innocence enshrouds this stage.

It is a time to learn and eat and play;
They love to be given much attention;
Young children keep themselves busy always;
They live in fantasy with energy.

They love one another and cry often;
They love to be fondled and pampered much;
They watch adults and try to imitate;
They try their best to know the world around.

They have an art of talking childishly;
They even fight for little things at times;
They love listening to stories all the time;
They forget hurts with ease and live with smiles.
