"Children Of All Ages Are At Risk For Covid-19"

"Teach Your Children"

Crosby, Stills & Nash

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good-bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you
you will cry,
So just look at them
and sigh
And know they love you.
And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by
And so please help them with your youth
They seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well
Their children's hell will slowly go by
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why
if they told you, you will cry
So just look at them and sigh
and know they love you.

"As of April 2,2020, infants aged
<1 year accounted
for 15% of pediatric COVID-19
cases in the U.S.4
However, this age group remains
underrepresented
among COVID-19 cases in patients of
all ages (0.3%)
compared to their percentage in the U.S.
population (1.2%) .
Relative to adult patients with COVID-19
there were fewer children
with COVID-19 requiring
hospitalization
(6-20%)and ICU admission (0.6-2%) .4
Although severe complications
(e.g., acute respiratory distress syndrome
septic shock)
have been reported in children of all ages
4,9,12,19
they appear to be infrequent. Based on limited
data on children
with either suspected or confirmed infection with
SARS-CoV-2
infants (<12 months of age)may be
at higher risk of
severe or critical disease
compared with
older children,16
with hospitalization being
most common among
children aged <1 year and those
with underlying conditions
such as chronic lung disease
(including asthma) , cardiovascular
disease, and immunosuppression.4
Other reports describe a mild disease
course, including in infants." 7,9,16 …

"There are limited data on laboratory
findings associated with COVID-19 in
pediatric patients. Unlike adult patients
with COVID-19,20,21 there have been no
consistent leukocyte abnormalities reported
in pediatric patients.22 Additional studies are
required to understand the laboratory findings
associated with pediatric cases of COVID-19."

"Stripped phucked & bored"
Toxic lab rats
Album Intoxicated

I'm stripped I'm phucked
Getting nothing out of this
I will quit I will split but my ignorance is bliss
Well I am phucked again

I'm bored and I drink
It's a better way I think
Than to think of all my troubles along the way
Well now I'm pissed again

I get up I go on
I make my way
It's my kind of contribution
I get up I go on
It's all the same
Hey! ! Hey! ! Hey! !

Now I sleep and I dream
Of my stupid little game
And I roll in my bed falling out of it again
Well I'm awake again

Bang my head on the floor
Who's that knocking on the door
Sirens sound my heart pounds
Where the phuck did I go wrong? !
Well I am phucked again

Treatment and Prevention

‘Currently, there are no specific drugs
approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA)for COVID-19. Treatment remains largely
supportive and includes prevention and management
of complications. Healthcare facilities should ensure
that infection prevention and control policies and
universal source control are in place to minimize
chance of exposure to SARS-CoV-2 among providers
patients, and families. For infection prevention
and control considerations for infants born to
mothers with known or suspected COVID-19

Obstetric Healthcare Settings. For
infection prevention and control
considerations for other
pediatric healthcare facilities

"We do not currently know if
pregnant people have a greater chance of
getting sick from COVID-19 than the general public
nor whether they are more likely to have serious
illness as a result. Based on available information
pregnant people seem to have the same
risk as adults who are not pregnant."

Mother-to-child transmission

"Mother-to-child transmission of coronavirus
during pregnancy is unlikely, but after birth
a newborn is susceptible to person-to-person
spread. A very small number of babies have
tested positive for the virus shortly after birth.
However, it is unknown if these babies
got the virus before or after birth.
The virus has not been detected
in amniotic fluid, breastmilk, or
other maternal samples."

"Mother and Child Reunion"
Paul Simon

No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh, little darling of mine
I can't for the life of me
Remember a sadder day
I know they say let it be
But it just don't work out that way
And the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again
No, I would not give you
false hope
(no)
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh, little darling of mine
I just can't believe it's so
Though it seems strange to say
I never been laid so low
In such a mysterious way
And the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again
But I would not give you
false hope
(no)
On this strange and mournful day
When the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh, oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a moment away (oh oh)
Oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh (oh) , the mother and child reunion
Is only a moment away
Oh, oh, the mother and child reunion
Oh, is only a motion away
Oh, the mother and child reunion
Is only a moment away (way, way, way)

Breastfeeding if you have COVID-19

"Breast milk provides protection against
many illnesses and is the best source of
nutrition for most infants.
You, along with your family
and healthcare providers, should
decide whether and how to start or
continue breastfeeding.
In limited studies, COVID-19
has not been detected in breast milk
however, we do not know for sure whether
mothers with COVID-19 can spread
the virus via breast milk.
If you are sick and choose
to direct breastfeed:
Wear a facemask
and wash your hands
before each feeding. If
you are sick and choose
to express breast milk:
Express breast milk
to establish and
maintain milk supply.
A dedicated breast pump
should be provided.
Wash hands before
touching any pump or
bottle parts and before
expressing breast milk.
Follow recommendations
for proper pump cleaning
after each use, cleaning all
parts that come into contact
with breast milk.
If possible, consider
having someone who is
well feed the expressed
breast milk to the infant."
